French N.2 Alizé Cornet advanced to the semi-finals of the Lausanne tournament by beating Russian Natalia Vikhlyantseva (100th in the world) in three sets 4-6, 6-1, 6-3 on Monday, in the wake of the qualification of another tricolor, Fiona Ferro in the last four.

The two French women can not compete in the final: Ferro, winner of the US Open 2011 winner Samantha Stosur 6-4, 6-2 in the quarter, will inherit the American Bernarda Pera Saturday in half.

Cornet, she will compete for a place in the final is the young Swiss Jil Teichmann (22 years), who raised his first WTA trophy in Prague in May, the German Tamara Korpatsch (N.142).
