Shipowner: there are three Russians aboard the tanker Stena Impero

“There are 23 people on board, three of them are Russians. The rest are citizens of Latvia, the Philippines and India, ”the agency’s source said.

Earlier it became known about the detention in the Strait of Hormuz of the British tanker Stena Impero.

As noted in the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, the tanker was detained "due to violation of international rules."

Subsequently, British Foreign Secretary Jeremy Hunt stated that two ships were detained by the Iranian authorities in the Strait of Hormuz: one followed the British, the other under the Liberian flag.
