An explosion occurred at a gas plant in Chanwon, China, about 5:50 pm yesterday (19th).

A powerful explosion shocked the windows of buildings within a 3-kilometer radius around the plant.

Building roofs and gates also crashed, and vehicles on the roadside were hit by debris.

Chinese media say two people have been killed, 12 missing and 18 wounded.

The fire authorities suppressed the fire after the explosion and rescue and search.

The exact cause of the accident has yet to be revealed, and the fire department estimates that an explosion occurred at the boiler in the factory.

Accident Gas Plant is a state-owned enterprise belonging to Henan Province Meiji Group Co., Ltd. It was founded in 1997 and has more than 1,200 employees.

According to Chinese media, the plant has recently been selected as a safe production model.
