TEHRAN (Reuters) - Iranian television on Friday broadcast footage that it said defied US President Donald Trump's account of the US Navy dropping an Iranian aircraft in the Strait of Hormuz.
Footage from the Iranian Revolutionary Guard shows scenes from the air of warships. Iranian television said that the plane was the one that took those scenes, and that the timing shown in the video shows that it was still conceived after Trump announced to drop it.
The US president announced on Thursday that an Iranian aircraft was approaching a thousand meters from the American destroyer Boxer in the Strait of Hormuz, prompting the destroyer to drop it.
