According to TASS, the head of state also instructed the Cabinet to take measures to inform the drivers about the traffic cameras.
“To take measures aimed at establishing requirements for obligatory informing road users ... about the locations of special-purpose vehicles operating in automatic mode, having the functions of photo and film shooting, video recordings to fix road traffic violations”, is indicated in the list of instructions.
At the end of June, Putin called not to hide and not specifically hide the video recording camera of traffic violations. As the head of state noted, the purpose of installing video surveillance cameras is to reduce accidents and injuries on the roads, as well as to preserve the lives of people.
On July 1, the State Duma made a draft on the requirements for video recording cameras of traffic violations on the roads.
The draft law proposes to establish that the requirements for cameras for photo and video recording of traffic violations and their installation sites are determined by the government.
