“The Ukrainian World Congress (“ World Congress of Ukrainians ”, Canada) is included in the list of foreign and international non-governmental organizations whose activities are considered undesirable in Russia,” said Andrei Chumakov, director of the department for organization and control of the department.
He added that the NGO was included in the list in accordance with the federal law “On Measures to Influence Persons involved in Violations of Fundamental Human Rights and Freedoms, Rights and Freedoms of Russian Citizens” based on the decision of the Deputy Prosecutor General.
The Prosecutor General’s Office of Russia declared the activities of the World Congress of Ukrainians NGO undesirable on July 12.
On July 1, the Prosecutor General’s Office included the Free Russia Foundation (Free Russia Foundation) on the list of organizations deemed undesirable in Russia.
