“Of course, we are watching what is happening, what decisions are being made. This is a question of the electoral commission, and here the Kremlin has neither the authority nor the intention to intervene in the situation, ”said Peskov.

At the same time, he noted that so far in Moscow, the elections were held at a sufficiently high standard.

Commenting on the relevance of the procedure for collecting signatures, Peskov said that this issue should be analyzed by the results of past elections.

“There is no formed position on this score, it should be analyzed,” he added.

Earlier it was reported that among the signatures for candidates to the Moscow City Duma were found the signatures of voters who have already died.

Chairman of the Moscow City Election Committee Valentin Gorbunov expressed the opinion that the deadline for verifying the signatures of candidates for deputies should be increased to 15 days. According to him, this step will allow checking in a more relaxed mode.
