The sprinter Christophe Lemaitre finished 4th in the 100m at the athletics meeting in Sotteville-lès-Rouen, dominated by the Ivorian Arthur Cissé in 10 sec 13.

The double Olympic medalist, affected by several injuries at the beginning of the season and still in the recovery phase, failed to improve his best performance of the year in 10.27 in Bulle (Switzerland) on July 7th.

"I thought I could do better, I'm still lacking pure speed because of the delay in my training after my physical problems this winter and spring," said the sprinter on RMC-Sport.

The Aixois is also aligned on the 200 m, scheduled for 21:17.

The 100m was won by Arthur Cissé in 10.13, ahead of South African Thando Dlodlo and Turkish Emre Barnes.
