Iran has towed a broken foreign tanker into its waters
Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Abbas Mousavi said that the Iranian side had towed a foreign tanker into its territorial waters that had broken down in the Persian Gulf.
Mousavi stated that the tanker "encountered a problem in the Persian Gulf due to a technical problem."
"According to international standards, the Iranian forces, having received a request for help, went to him and towed him to the waters of Iran with the help of a tugboat to make the necessary repairs," RIA Novosti quotes him.
On July 11, the British Defense Ministry stated that three Iranian boats attempted to stop a British oil tanker in the Strait of Hormuz.
