According to the diplomat, a new stage in relations between Kiev and Budapest is possible after the elections to the Verkhovna Rada.

“As soon as they return the right to study in their native language to the Hungarian community, we will be able to establish very intensive economic cooperation for the benefit of the two countries. We have € 50 million for this, ”said Siyarto, referring to the law of Ukraine on the state language that came into force, implying the use of exclusively Ukrainian in almost all spheres of life.

In May, Kurt Walker, the US Special Representative for Ukraine, criticized the Hungarian authorities for using NATO "as an instrument of pressure" on Kiev.

For example, Budapest has repeatedly opposed holding meetings of the Ukraine-NATO commission.
