Thunderstorms are announced from the Alps to the Côte d'Azur and Corsica.

The weather will be sunny in most parts of the country on Monday, outside the south-east, where locally important thunderstorms are reported from the Alps to the French Riviera and Corsica, according to Météo-France forecasts.

The sky will be chaotic at the beginning of the day from Franche-Comté to Rhône-Alpes and Provence-Côte d'Azur. A few stormy showers will start at the beginning of the day.

Risk of falling hail

Stormy showers will become more frequent from the Alps to the Côte d'Azur and Corsica and the storm risk will be more pronounced in the afternoon with a risk of hailstorms. Caution, precipitation will sometimes be important on the Southern Alps border and on the north of Corsica. Stormy showers may be accompanied by good gusts of wind on the Island of Beauty.

The north wind will blow quite hard in the Rhone Valley and the Roussillon coast. The gusts will reach 70/80 km / h, or even 90 km / h towards the lower Rhone Valley.

Up to 34 degrees on the Languedoc-Roussillon

Everywhere else, the day will be summery, under a generous sun, after dissipation in the morning, some patches of coastal gray, some low clouds on the Landes and Hauts de France.

In the early morning, we expect 9 to 14 degrees on the northern half, 13 to 19 degrees further south, 18 to 22 near the Mediterranean. In the afternoon, temperatures, very slightly down, range between 20 and 27 north of the Loire and the north-east, 26 to 31 further south, locally 33/34 on the Languedoc-Roussillon .
