A shootout erupted southeast of Khartoum Sunday, July 14. FSR militiamen reportedly repressed a demonstration that killed at least one person and injured several others, according to the doctors' committee. The signing of the transition agreement is long overdue.

The tension is starting to rise again in Sudan. Witnesses said protesters in El Souk, southeast of Khartoum, gathered in front of intelligence bureau to accuse Rapid Support Forces (FSR) of raping youth and demanding they leave the city.
