The new spider-man adventure, "Spider-Man: Far from Home" spent a second weekend at the top of the North American box office, well ahead of the competition, including "Toy Story 4", according to provisional figures published Sunday by the specialized company Exhibitor Relations.

The seventh film in the series, well received by critics, earned $ 45.3 million in revenue in the United States and Canada from Friday to Sunday.

Still significantly behind the most popular episodes in North America with $ 274.5 million worth of tickets sold since its release, "Spider-Man: Far from Home" could soon become the part of the world's best recipes, with 847 million dollars to date against 890 million for "Spider-Man 3" (2007), according to the figures of the site Box Office Mojo.

The film takes up the story of Spider-Man after the tragic conclusion of "Avengers: Endgame". Peter Parker, the heroic teenager who hides under the mask of the spider-man, makes a touristic stay in Europe with his high school, which will be hectic.

Far behind the new production Marvel Studio comes "Toy Story 4", which keeps the course with $ 20.6 million over three days and 346.3 million since its release June 20.

On the third step of the podium is "Crawl", a Hollywood production directed by the French Alexandre Aja, great specialist in horror films ("The hill has eyes").
