The Emirates Government Knowledge Center of the Mohammed bin Rashid School of Government has launched the Government Knowledge Portal initiative as a platform for knowledge-based outcomes for various federal and local government entities.
The portal provides a unified, open and sustainable source for those interested in government work from students, employees, researchers and decision-makers to learn about the best practices of government work to improve government performance in all vital sectors within the country.
Dr. Ali Bin Saba Al Marri, Chief Executive Officer of the Mohammed bin Rashid School of Government, stressed the need to create exceptional tools and solutions and create an enabling environment to support and empower future leaders.
He added: "We are working to expand our academic and research partnerships with various entities inside and outside the country. The initiative represents a practical example of concerted efforts and coordination of joint work with various federal and local government bodies within the country."
The Director General of the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources, Dr. Abdulrahman Abdul-Mannan Al-Awar, confirmed the importance of the "Government Knowledge Portal" initiative as a result of the close and effective cooperation between the Mohammed bin Rashid School of Government and the various partners from governmental and federal institutions. Director of Emirates Knowledge Center, Sarah Taleb, said: "The platform provides a wide range of government and public administration specialties. Currently, it contains more than 50 manuals and references. The next period will see the expansion of cooperation with various entities within the country to increase references and administrative documents. Government guides and guidelines through continuous development of technical features to enrich the platform and increase its scientific and knowledge content. "
The documents at the platform include many new administrative disciplines covering various topics such as staff performance management, training and development, reward and incentive systems, professional behavior and work ethic, volunteering in the government work environment, evaluation work, etc.
