Face-to-face tense, Sunday, July 14, between the police and several dozens of people demonstrating on the Champs-Elysees.

At the end of the traditional military parade, protesters occupied the top of the avenue, open to the public, and laid in the middle of the road the many metal barriers that had been used to limit the movement of spectators for the military parade. Garbage cans were burned.

According to a report drawn Sunday at 2:00 pm by the police headquarters of Paris, 152 people were arrested in the capital for carrying prohibited weapons, violence on anyone depositary of public authority, deterioration of private property or undeclared event .

Indication of Figures of Yellow Vests

Among those arrested were known figures of yellow vests like Eric Drouet, according to a police source, and Maxime Nicolle and Jerome Rodrigues, according to the Paris prosecutor. The latter was placed in custody for rebellion.

The prefecture had banned any gathering of people claiming this movement around the Avenue des Champs-Elysees, the Place de la Concorde, the Louvre, the Invalides, the Trocadero and the Eiffel Tower.
