Scenes of jubilation on the Champs-Elysees in Paris: supporters of the football team of Algeria came in number Sunday night celebrate their qualification for the final of the African Cup of Nations (CAN), facing forces order very present to cope with possible overflows.

Shortly after 23:00, shouts of joy and concerts of horns resound on the famous avenue, found journalists of AFP. The Algerian Fennecs team has just joined Senegal in the CAN final by beating Nigeria 2-1.

Supporters, euphoric, hug. "We will win is historic tahya (live) Algeria!" Wassim launches, Algerian flag on the back. "I'm crying, I have no words," says Myriam, with tears in her eyes.

At the roundabout Etoile, women throw "youyou" to tourists a little surprised.

Assia, from the Seine-Saint-Denis, Algeria flag on the back, displays her pride: "I am as happy as for the final of the World Cup, I have two countries". She assures: "We are going to party all evening, and if it goes into a spin we will depart."

While a score of supporters had invaded the road at the final whistle, police officers quickly intervened to push them back to the sidewalk, sometimes with truncheons.

The police forces are strongly mobilized for possible overflows. Last Thursday, rallies of many supporters celebrating Algeria's quarter-final victory were tarnished by "unacceptable" incidents for the government.
