The decision to form a coalition was made following the results of last week’s conference on media freedom in London.
On July 5, it became known that the British Foreign Office did not issue RT accreditation for a conference on media freedom.
A representative from the Foreign Office stated that RT and Sputnik were not accredited "because of their active participation in the dissemination of misinformation."
The Kremlin called this situation a vivid manifestation of absurdity.
