“To announce the resignation of the government of Sevastopol on July 12, 2019,” the document signed by the acting governor Mikhail Razvozhaev states.

The same document prescribes the government to fulfill duties until the formation of a new executive.

Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin accepted the resignation of the governor of Sevastopol, Dmitry Ovsyannikov. The Russian leader appointed interim head of the region Mikhail Razvozhaev.

In turn, Razvozhaev said that he considered his new appointment to be a manifestation of the president’s high confidence. He also spoke of his intention to earn the trust of the residents of Sevastopol.
