The Secretary-General of the Lebanese Hezbollah, Hassan Nasrallah, said that the American war on Iran means the ignition of the region, stressing that Israel will not be immune in the event of war and that Iran is capable of bombing "with vigor and force."

"Every country involved in the war on Iran will pay the price," Nasrallah said in a television interview on Friday night, warning that Emiratis, Saudis and anyone involved in the war would not be safe.

Nasrallah also asked whether Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Zayed could answer a question about the UAE's interest in a devastating war in the Gulf, especially as it would not be safe from it.

On the other hand, Nasrallah confirmed during the interview the reduction of the number of Lebanese Hezbollah forces deployed in Syria largely on the back of the decline in the fighting there.

But pointed out that it is possible to redeploy these forces back to Syria easily, noting that he does not believe that there is a return back in Syria.

"We have redeployed and resettled ... if there is a need for the return of everyone who was there, he will return ... dealing with the Syrian file has nothing to do with sanctions or financial austerity," he said.

Nasrallah also revealed efforts by the administration of US President Donald Trump to open channels of communication with the party.

It is noteworthy that the relationship between Washington and Tehran is growing tension since the announcement of President Trump in May 2018 the withdrawal of his country unilaterally from the nuclear agreement concluded in 2015 between Iran and the major powers, and re-imposition of economic sanctions against Tehran.

Gulf states, led by Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, accuse Iran of destabilizing the Gulf and have been blamed for several recent incidents targeting ships near the Strait of Hormuz. Riyadh also accuses it of directing the Houthis in Yemen to attack its oil facilities.
