Passions , the new book by Nicolas Sarkozy released June 27, is already a success according to its publisher to the editions of the Observatory, Muriel Beyer. On Europe 1, it reveals the first sales figures of the book.

"It starts very strong"

"According to my accounts, we are at 197,867 books invoiced booksellers (...) And over ten days, we are at 81,687 estimated sales (France, Belgium, Switzerland and digital, ed)," says Muriel Beyer in the Grand Journal of evening. Already publisher La France for life and Tout pour la France , Muriel Beyer believes that with Passions , "it goes very strong, especially that it will sell all summer, make signatures".

"Overall, we have very positive feedback on this book," said Muriel Beyer. According to her, the fact that the book focuses on the memories of the former president, without being presented as a political object, "I think that explains the success quite strong."

At the microphone of Europe 1, Muriel Beyer indicates in any case that Nicolas Sarkozy regularly inquires about the success of Passions . "I find it quite touching that an author calls every day to find out how it sells," she says. "He is very happy and that's normal," adds the publisher.
