"The German federal government provides the Maltese Aid Service with an additional € 760,000 to continue the project ... humanitarian relief measures aimed at displaced persons and victims of the conflict in Ukraine," said a statement posted on the diplomatic mission website.

It clarifies that the Maltese service since 2018 has helped the affected residents of Donbass in the framework of the project “Contribution to the psychosocial stabilization of victims in the conflict in Ukraine”.

The embassy announced service plans to open new psycho-social adaptation centers along the line of demarcation in the Donbass.

In March, it was reported that in 2019 the Federal Republic of Germany would allocate an additional € 1.8 million in humanitarian assistance from the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) to residents of Donbass.
