"The Special Board of the Russian Emergencies Ministry carried out the evacuation of 33 Russian children from Baghdad to Moscow," the department said.

It is noted that pediatricians, psychologists and rescuers accompanied the children on board of the plane.

Also, the Emergencies Ministry said that before going to “relatives and friends, all children will be sent to the National Center for Children's Health for further medical examination and treatment.”

Earlier, a plane with 33 Russian children flew from Baghdad to Moscow.

On July 3, Anna Kuznetsova, the ombudsman for the Russian president, said that two groups of children in Iraq’s prison due to the participation of their Russian mothers in terrorist organizations would be returned to the country in July and August.

She clarified that in July from Iraq they plan to deliver to Russia more than 30 children aged two to three years.
