The Global Conference on Freedom of the Media opened in London, the organizers of which refused to accredit journalists to the RT television channel and Sputnik agency. As explained in the British Foreign Office, the decision was made because of the alleged active participation of these news resources "in the dissemination of misinformation." Earlier, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, said that the UK authorities should provide evidence of these charges, otherwise Moscow would regard them as slander and “an example of the dissemination of fake news.” With details - correspondent RT Polina Boyko.
