Since the beginning of the fortnight of Wimbledon the "Big Three" dominates everything: Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer have given an overwhelming impression of power and ease when it comes to the quarterfinals on Wednesday.

The Serb, the Spaniard and the Swiss, who have lost only one set since the beginning of the tournament, have particularly marked the spirits in their round of 16, leaving only 19 games to them three. The trio has won fourteen of the last sixteen editions, and there is nothing to indicate that this edition escapes one of these three legends.

. Djokovic: the indestructible spider

"It's a wall, it covers well its ground and it returns everything": the statement of Ugo Humbert is shared by all the plate. The Serb is unplayable and seems to be heading for a second consecutive title in London.

"Novak is the guy to beat here, we can talk about Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer, but he's the reigning champion," said Thomas Johansson, the coach of Djokovic's next opponent, David Goffin.

"It's almost impossible to find weaknesses in his game," continues the Swede, winner of the Australian Open in 2002. "It's a wall (...) It's like playing against a spider. Everything comes back."

Hubert Hurkacz was scratched on a set in the third round and the Serbian was stung. He washed the affront and destroyed the Pole, swept Humbert, before throwing himself on Goffin.

The Belgian (23rd world) can however cling to a tiny hope: he remains on a success against the world No.1, in the quarterfinals of Monte Carlo in 2017.

But the "joker", mentally worn, was not the same player at the time ... Just after this defeat, he had separated from his coach Marian Vajda. Before taking it back almost a year later, a few weeks before winning Wimbledon.

. Nadal: the return of the bull

Blows and flawless determination. Since the beginning of the fortnight, the recent winner of Roland-Garros shows all his character.

The double winner of the event had inherited a perilous table, including Nick Kyrgios in the second round. This is not the impression he gave, passing the Australian before destroying suddenly Jo-Wilfried Tsonga and Joao Sousa.

For a place in the semifinals, the Manacor bull will face the powerful server Sam Querrey. And even before the match, the American seemed discouraged. That's also the power of the "Big Three" ...

"This is the place he prefers the least of the Grand Slam tournaments, he has reached the final five times," Querrey said. "And he walked on all the guys, it'll be difficult."

Like Goffin, the Californian can cling to a tiny hope: he had beaten Nadal during their last confrontation two years ago in Acapulco, submerging him under a deluge of aces and winning services.

. Federer: same recipe, same success

"I was expecting a tough and tight game, in fact it was the opposite": Federer's reaction after his victory in less than an hour and a quarter over Italy's Matteo Berrettini, though in the top 20 world, says a lot. The "Master" flies over Wimbledon. Without forcing.

At the age of 38, the eight-time winner of the London tournament rolls out his tennis and throws himself in his quarter against Kei Nishikori (7th) with the tank full after a quick first week.

Asked about the keys to beat the Swiss, the Japanese did not know what to answer. "I'm going to have to play good tennis, because he's the best player on the field, I think he played well this week," said Nishikori, pushing open the All England Club.

The former world No.1 will still speak his experience, he who reaches the second week of a Grand Slam tournament for the 65th time in his career ... the 17th time in South London.
