In the United States, the Republicans have their billionaire: the current President Donald Trump, and now the Democratic camp also has his in the run to the White House. His name is Tom Steyer and enters the running for the Democratic nomination. His goal: to win the presidential election of 2020.

Tom Steyer, 62, like Donald Trump is a billionaire, a New Yorker and also populist without being a politician by trade. But beware, the commonalities between the two stop here.

The now 24th candidate for the Democratic nomination is a fervent advocate for the climate. He is very critical of the banks, the polluting industries and the big companies who put their profits above all the rest.

Tom Steyer is a fierce opponent of Donald Trump. He spends a good part of his time and his fortune trying to remove the current tenant of the White House.

The wealthy businessman had also announced in January to give up the presidential election to fully take care of his organization "Need To Impeach", in favor of launching a procedure for dismissal against Donald Trump.

Although he can spend millions of dollars on his own fortune for his campaign, his late entry into the Democratic primary is a serious handicap.
