Osama Hamida said that his country was in the wake of the "glorious revolution" carried out by the people on the way to a new future. He said it was time to end the sanctions imposed on Sudan and "relieve us of foreign debts."

For his part, al-Salami said that the visit of the delegation of the Arab Parliament to Sudan «comes in solidarity with the Sudanese leadership and people, and welcome the political agreement between the Transitional Military Council and the forces of freedom and change on the formation of the sovereign council for the management of Sudan, during the transitional period».

He added that "the visit also comes in the interest of the Arab Parliament to call on all parties, political forces and civil movements in Sudan to continue dialogue and consultation and complete the requirements of the transitional period and to move them to a permanent stage, achieving the aspirations of the brotherly Sudanese people in security and stability."

Al-Salami stressed that «the Arab Parliament is keen to support all the measures taken by Sudan to maintain its security and stability, and beyond the delicate stage it is going through, in order to achieve the aspirations of the Sudanese people to achieve security, stability, development and prosperity».
