The Foreign Ministry advised that official documents be kept from passports, air tickets and valuable personal belongings in safe places, and that no passport or national identity should be placed in any destination, and that security services in the host country should not be allowed to inspect the place of residence without the permission of the agent Prosecution or competent authority, and in case of investigation of any case must insist on the presence of counsel, inform the State Mission.

In a related context, the UAE embassy in Bangkok, via its Twitter account, warned citizens that the Thai authorities prohibit the possession and smoking of electronic cigarettes of all kinds, pointing out that the violator is subject to a fine, imprisonment or both.

Electronic passport
