The Criminal Court in Ras Al Khaimah yesterday heard the case of a defense lawyer in the case of a Gulf employee accused of falsifying official electronic documents of government revenue and damaging public money.

The defendant denied the charges against her in police investigations and prosecutors, and before the court, explaining that she left work in January last year, after being accused of forgery in electronic editorials, and investigated by her employer.

The lawyer said he insisted on acquitting his client of the charges against her, based on the absence of elements of the crime, the lack of papers from the evidence, and irresponsibility of the incident related to the charge of forgery official electronic editor.

He explained that according to the report of the Commission of Experts that investigated the counterfeit transactions, it is assumed that the modification of the data and falsification of the editors was done through a gap within the electronic system of the party in which the accused was working.

He added that the printer used to print forged official documents is available in 47 branches of the branch where the accused works, and it is not possible to locate the forgery of the official papers or the forgery.

He pointed out that the owners of transactions have a system of payment of fees through the use of e-Dirham, and it is difficult for any client or employee to manipulate transactions or falsification of receipts, due to the accuracy of the electronic system.

He said that by asking the competent authorities to the customers who paid the receipts in cash, they all confirmed that they have receipts of the fees they paid, which confirms the lack of sufficient evidence to collect funds illegally or fraud in the case or not.

He pointed out that there is a contradiction in the report of the Committee of Experts, where the report said that the accused conducted 6740 transactions worth one million dirhams, and fraud was discovered in 240 transactions worth 96 thousand dirhams, followed that if the accused forged official editors, it is logical to visit All the papers that it has completed, and the accused can not make a mistake and leave the false data, according to the report, on the computer of its work for four months, without wiping the data to clear it.

The court postponed the case to the next hearing to hear the verdict in the case file.
