Nigerian-born Nigerian winger Giannis Antetokounmpo, MVP of the past season in the NBA, is about to be joined at the Milwaukee Bucks by his older brother Thanasis, according to the basketball site eurohoops.net.
The site announces on its homepage that Thanasis Antetokounmpo, a 26-year-old winger, and the Bucks are close to reaching an agreement for a two-year contract for $ 3 million.
Thanasis Antetokounmpo has been playing since 2016 at Panathinaikos Athens, a club with which he has not financially agreed on a new contract.
He previously played in the United States, in the D-League at the 87ers of Delaware (2013/14), before being drafted by the New York Knicks who sent him back to D-League, in Westchester, from 2014 to 2016 .

The three brothers Antetokounmpo, Thanasis, 26, Giannis, 24, and Kostas (21, Dallas Mavericks), have just been selected for the team of Greece for the World Cup, from August 31 to September 15 in China.
The youngest, Alexis Antetokounmpo, 15, currently in the high school team of Dominican High School in Milwaukee and considered by Giannis as the most talented of the siblings, could join them.
