The rejection of the Russian resolution indicates the double standards of European countries. Of course, they have developed an understanding of the democracy they are promoting. Today it is Russia that is an example of upholding European values, ”the deputy believes.

According to Shvytkin, in some European countries “Russophobia in terms of questions still prevails over common sense.”

Earlier, the Committee on Democracy, Human Rights and Humanitarian Affairs of the OSCE PA rejected the Russian resolution “On the fight against xenophobia, aggressive nationalism and related intolerance.”

The resolution proposed to condemn "the spread of neo-Nazi and aggressive nationalist ideologies based on racial or national prejudices."
