"France notes with great concern that today Iran has announced the start of uranium enrichment above the level of 3.67% established by the UFID ... We urge Iran to cease all activities that do not meet its obligations," TASS quoted the French agency.

The French Foreign Ministry noted that they are awaiting confirmation of this fact by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).

In addition, the ministry said they are in constant contact with partners in the nuclear deal "in order to begin the necessary de-escalation of tensions."

Earlier in the European Union called on Iran to return to the fulfillment of obligations under the nuclear program.

On July 7, Tehran announced a decision to exceed the enrichment level of uranium by 3.67%, provided for by the UFIT, to "meet the needs of power plants."

Iran also promised to reduce its commitments under a nuclear transaction every 60 days, if the countries of the agreement do not begin to reckon with the country's requirements on the UFAS.

Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Abbas Aracchi said that these steps are aimed at preserving the UHF.
