For three days in Nanterre, the National Gathering (RN) looks at the municipal with the meeting, from Monday, July 8, the national commission of investiture. After his victory in the European, the party of Marine Le Pen hopes to confirm its momentum, but knows that it looks difficult because of the voting system. As a result, the RN will present lists virtually everywhere, but focus on winnable, often small, cities. What are the priorities ?

If the party refuses to speak of objective number 1, it clearly puts on a city to illustrate its capacity of conquest: Perpignan. With its 120,000 inhabitants, the capital of the Eastern Pyrenees is coveted by Louis Aliot, companion of Marine Le Pen. He has withdrawn from the party to devote 100% to a campaign that he leads not on the label RN, but that of the "Local Gathering" to promote rallies , including from the right.

The other cities in sight are those of the mining basin as Denain, 20 000 inhabitants, one of the poorest in France. Long managed by the left, it fell into the hands of the RN in the last legislative elections. The symbol, for the party of a region where several small cities could yield like Hénin-Beaumont in 2014.

The RN puts on the domino effect around cities already administered by the extreme right as Béziers or Fréjus. He is betting on the collapse of the right in the European as in Nice or Marseille, but especially does not want to run out to do figuration in Paris or Lyon where there should be no candidate RN.
