Dubai Municipality has instructed all owners of buildings in the Emirate to contract with the companies to clean their water tanks, in the context of its concern for the quality and safety of drinking water, and conforming to the approved specifications, and in the interest of the consumer.

In a circular issued by the Food Safety Department, the municipality recently decided to cancel the inspection of drinking water tanks for 2018 and turn it into an optional activity. The building owners are required to clean and maintain the tanks at least twice a year by contracting with a municipal approved cleaning company.
