Brazil won the Copa America for the ninth time in its history, the first in 12 years, beating Peru 3-1 in Sunday's final at the Maracana in Rio, although it has played 10-for-11 for more than twenty minutes after the expulsion of Gabriel Jesus.
Everton (15th), Jesus (45 + 3) and Richarlison (89th sp) scored for the host country, while Paolo Guerrero saved the honor of the Peruvians (44th sp), the only goal conceded by the Seleçao in any tournament.
