The General Medical Committee requested the departments and bodies of the Government of Dubai to remove the names of all employees of concern, to benefit from the reduction of the number of working hours to five hours.
The Chairman of the Committee, Dr. Atef Abdul Latif Saleh, said: "It was noted that many departments and bodies did not raise the names until today," stressing the need to submit them to the Committee as soon as possible, accompanied by supportive medical reports, or attach cards to "Sanad" Attitudes of the owners of concern.
He explained to «Emirates Today» that «the Committee also called on the Dubai government institutions to provide the names of female employees giving birth to children of concern, to grant them a leave of care until the child is the first year, and renewed for another two years by department directors, based on a report issued by the Medical Committee».
He pointed out that the law obligates the human resources departments in all departments and departments of the Government of Dubai to raise the names of employees with disabilities to the General Medical Committee to grant them the reduction of working hours to become five hours a day only. All institutions are obliged to provide the Committee with the names of these employees in full since the beginning of the current year. .
The Chairman of the Medical Committee referred to the issue of sick leave, which is three consecutive months or intermittent during the year for the non-citizen employee, explaining that «in the event that the employee received this number of days, the Committee assesses his condition, if proved to need more days is terminated According to the law, in the case of a single symptom, while in the case of another illness, the period after the Committee's consideration is renewed, while the civil servant is subject to the law of the Pensions and Social Security Authority. After receiving a full year's sick leave, To work, or to change the nature of his work as appropriate And if he is unable to return to work, the Committee shall submit a recommendation to the Higher Committee for Retirement, which in turn shall give him sick leave for another year.
He said that despite the passage of about six months on the implementation of the new Human Resources Law of the Government of Dubai, the Committee is still receiving inquiries regarding the rights and duties of staff, stressing the need for continuous dialogue to fully understand the rights and duties of staff in the new law,
Saleh stressed that the committee applies the latest international standards adopted in the chapter on the applications submitted to it in various specialties and then issues the final recommendations thereon. He pointed out that the mechanisms adopted in the committee are based on the guide of medical specialties, in which 89 consultants and specialists participated in 28 specialties, Which has become a medical reference used in a number of medical bodies.
