Two-time Wimbledon champion Petra Kvitova has reached Saturday for the first time in five years the knockout stages of the British Grand Slam tournament.
The 6th ranked World Champion outclassed Poland's Magda Linette (75), defeated 6-3, 6-2, and will be up for a place in the quarter-finals for either England's Johanna Konta (18th) or American Sloane Stephens (9th). .
Kvitova had played in the last 16 of the All England Tennis Club in 2014, the year of his second title after 2011.
