The Abu Dhabi Commission for the Federal National Council (FNC) 2019 was inaugurated at the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ADCCI).
The office was opened by the Executive Director of the Department of Citizens' Affairs at the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince's Court and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Commission Saif Ali Al Qubaisi.
Al Qubaisi toured the headquarters of the committee and was briefed on the services provided and the facilities provided for the holding of meetings, seminars and workshops, which contribute to facilitating the functions of members of the Electoral Commission of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
He also listened to an explanation on the progress of the work at the headquarters and the resources and possibilities available through the cadres of national workers who have been trained and qualified to provide facilities to the electorate and candidates, in accordance with the highest professional standards.
Al Qubaisi urged the employees of the Abu Dhabi Commission to make every effort to improve the electoral process, thus contributing to the continuous success of the elections of the members of the Federal National Council in Abu Dhabi, reflecting the cultural image of the UAE. The Federal National Council serves the people and meets their aspirations.
The committee of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi is coordinating with the National Elections Committee in relation to the technical and administrative matters related to the holding of elections in the Emirate. Its tasks are to notify the members of the electoral commission of the final lists and provide forms related to the electoral process and promote the electoral process in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
The committee also identified candidates registration centers, coordination with the Urban Planning Department and municipalities to determine the places of electoral publicity and the selection of electoral centers in the emirate.
