In this first weekend of departures on vacation, to each its destination. Some have taken the road to the south of France, others have decided to focus on the beaches of Brittany, as in Saint-Malo. On the Sillon beach or in the fortified city, Europe 1 met the first tourists, relieved to have finally arrived at their destination.

For Nolwenn, it's time for the first swim after a long drive from the capital. "I will finally walk barefoot in the sand after spending a whole month in Paris, without air conditioning", during the heat wave, she rejoices. "The sand is soft and warm, it's fantastic," she once described her shoes removed, before running to the water.
Nicolas, who came with his in-laws, favors gastronomy on this first day, because he can finally enjoy these dishes that he only eats in Saint-Malo. "We came by train, by car, and we finally arrived," he says, trusting his relief. In the restaurant, this holidaymaker was able to taste mussels marinière, as well as "the best crepe of my life", which acts on him like a madeleine of Proust. Tomorrow, he will visit Mont Saint-Michel.
