The decision is in line with the government's vision to make the UAE one of the best in the world, the government's e-transformation and reducing the percentage of service center visitors to 80% by 2021. The decision also establishes a new phase of service development using modern technologies, From the role of identity card as a tool that includes all the information of citizens and residents.
The mechanism will be used to store the electronic digest in the smart chip with the ID card, enabling customers to use it easily when required by the official authorities, which will have an effect on cost reduction and paper procedures, in addition to enhancing security and reducing any fraud or manipulation.
