While groups of teachers have voted a "retention of grades" of the baccalaureate in several academies, the ministry wants to be confident. And shakes the specter of "very serious sanctions" if the copies are not returned Thursday, the day before the results.

The Minister of National Education Jean-Michel Blanquer promised Monday that "everyone will have its results (the baccalaureate) in time" Friday, despite the threat of strike of some proofreaders in the Hexagon.

108.000 copies would be retained at the moment

"Yes, everyone will have their results on time, no one should take the responsibility to prevent the proper functioning of the public service," said Jean-Michel Blanquer, questioned after a press conference in the street Grenelle in Paris. "We had since June a number of threats on the baccalaureate or on the patent," said the minister, with calls to strike monitoring of these exams.

"I have great confidence in the vast majority of teachers in France who have a great professional conscience, (...) and who have no desire to contribute to the sabotage of an examination for which they have prepared passionately their students, "he continued.

According to the teacher group "Bloquons Blanquer", some 108,000 copies (out of 4 million) would be currently retained by their correctors.

The Ministry mentions "very serious sanctions" in case of detention

In several academies, groups of teachers voted in general assemblies a "retention of notes" of the baccalaureate, to encourage the minister to reopen negotiations on the reforms of high school and baccalaureate, they dispute. A professor of philosophy at the Academy of Versailles, who wishes to remain anonymous, has planned not to return the notes before Tuesday noon, as it is supposed to do. "Like others, I will be on strike tomorrow if Mr. Blanquer does nothing," she told AFP. "We did not expect to get there but it's a last action, a bit desperate, to make us hear," she added. These teachers lament that the future ferry, scheduled for 2021, loses its "national" in favor of an examination which they believe will become "local".

"If a note is not returned, the corrector will be contacted for a reminder," says the ministry. It will also be explained to him that he will be considered as a striker, not only on the same day, but from the moment he has withdrawn his copies, which can represent up to fifteen days without pay in certain cases, the ministry. And if copies are not returned as expected Thursday, the day before the results of the baccalaureate, teachers expose themselves to "very serious sanctions", he recalls.
