“Attempts by the northern neighbor to confuse the cards with the sudden closure of the navigation area do not scare the multinational headquarters. We took this as an additional challenge and are ready to adequately counter. Now, the maneuvers are geographically re-planned, and will be held as planned by the headquarters of the exercises, ”said the commander of the Ukrainian Navy, Igor Voronchenko, opening the exercises.
The ministry said that this year it is planned to work out the river element.
According to the legend of the exercise, conditional opponents will try to block access to the sea from the Danube River.
As for the marine element of the exercises, during it the participants will conduct artillery firing, disembarking inspection teams, as well as improving the interaction of special units.
For the first time, specialized diving trainings will be attended by representatives of the division of the State Border Service "DOZOR", having the appropriate specialization.
Earlier it was reported that the Black Sea fleet of Russia monitors the actions of NATO ships at the Sea Breeze 2019 exercises to respond to possible abnormal situations.
