The National Election Commission (NEC) announced yesterday the lists of electoral bodies of all the Emirates for the 2019 Federal National Council elections, which included 337,738 members, witnessing an increase of 50.58% compared to the lists of electoral bodies for 2015, which amounted to 224 thousand and 281 citizens and citizens.

The Emirati women have a distinguished presence in the electoral lists for 2019 by 50.62% compared to 49.38% for males. This highlights the great belief of the UAE leadership in the role of women in developing the parliamentary work process, serving the country and contributing to providing the best services to citizens.

The number of young people in the 2019 lists (from age 21 to 40 years) was 61.32% of the total lists of electoral bodies. 21 to 30 years and 30.04%, while the age group from 31 to 40 years is 31.28%, which allows for a wide participation of young Emiratis in the electoral process that will be spread across all regions of the UAE to select representatives under the National Assembly Federal.

The list of electoral bodies listed by the Rulers' Committees includes geographical locations of 101549 members in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, 60772 members in the Emirate of Dubai, 64293 members in the Emirate of Sharjah, 10165 members in the Emirate of Ajman, 6653 members in the Emirate of Umm Al Quwain and 55289 members in Emirate Ras Al Khaimah and 39,017 members in the emirate of Fujairah.

The National Elections Committee praised the efforts exerted to improve the electoral process and enhance the success of the electoral process by providing all the resources and capabilities that facilitate the voting process for members of the electoral bodies in all the Emirates, which comes as a result of the constructive and active cooperation of all concerned in organizing the fourth round of elections Federal National Council.

The National Elections Commission publishes the lists of electoral bodies for the FNC 2019 on its website www.uaenec.ae and will also be published in official newspapers.
