South African Caster Semenya, on the front line of the fight against the new hyperandrogenic athlete rules, won the 800m meeting at Stanford, counting for the Diamond Athletics League on Sunday.

Semenya won in 1:55 sec 70 / 100th, far from her personal best of the season (1: 54.98) which earned her the top spot in the world, ahead of American Ajee Wilson (1: 58.36) and Raevin Rogers (1: 58.65).

She extended her unbeaten run on both laps with her last setback dating back to September 2015.

The Stanford rendezvous marked Semenya's return to his favorite distance.

The double Olympic champion has obtained from the Swiss courts that she suspends the new regulation of the International Federation (IAAF), which came into force at the beginning of May, which forbids her to line up on 800 m if she does not follow a treatment for lowering a high testosterone level. According to the IAAF, this offers him, as with others, an unfair advantage in the female category.

"Down under +56+ (1 min 56 sec), that's good, I arrived recently in the United States, I was a little sleepy," explained the triple world champion.

Semenya brushed aside the idea that his troubles with the IAAF had disturbed him.

"I did not think about it, it's a legal battle between two parties who think they can win, we can not say what's going to happen, I'm focused on my race, what I can control, on my training and I'm happy with what I did this Sunday, "she insisted.

The Swiss judiciary could lift the suspension of the IAAF regulations in the coming days and prevent Semenya from running 800 meters.
