Guinea needed to win to hope to be part of the best third place and therefore to reach the round of 16. By winning 2-0 against Burundi, the national Syli did the work, despite the absence of Naby Keita remained on the bench due to injury, but the men of Paul Put still had trouble finding the fault.

For Guinea, it was victory or nothing. With just one point left before the match started, the Guineans had no choice but to win to continue the adventure. As for the victory, the contract is fulfilled, partly thanks to a great night Mohamed Yattara author of a double, but also thanks to the logical expulsion of Christophe Nduwarugira from the 12th minute. The Burundian defender annihilating a net goal opportunity for the Syli.

From then on, things will be simplified for Kamano and his family, but even at 10 against 11 the game proposed by the Guineans remains rather unattractive. The light will finally come from Mohamed Yattara in the 25th minute, and then back to the locker room at the 52nd. José Kanté could have made the game 83rd, but his ball missed Jonathan Nahimana's goal.

Just hope that the Syli will not regret this missed opportunity because if with four points qualifying is on track, it is not yet assured. It will be necessary to await all the results of the other groups which will be definitive Tuesday 2 of July in the evening and a good difference of goal could well make the decision to decide between teams with the same number of points. Guineans have now only to be patient. For the Burundians, however, there is nothing more to expect from this CAN 2019. Last of this group B, they are officially eliminated from the competition.
