"Denied registration of a candidate to the deputies of Ukraine Andrei Klyuev, nominated by the Liberal Party of Ukraine, in a single-mandate constituency," the CEC said.

On the page of the Central Election Commission of Ukraine on Facebook, it is indicated that as of June 23, there were 1,593 candidates for the Rada in all single-mandate electoral districts. Also 1743 candidates for deputies are included in the electoral lists of 12 political parties.

Klyuev headed the presidential administration of Ukraine when Viktor Yanukovich was the leader of the country.

Earlier, the CEC refused to register the Communist Party of Ukraine for elections to the Rada.
