Yemeni Information Minister Muammar al-Iryani met with US Congressmen Daniel Krenshaw and Rachida Tlaib to discuss the latest developments in the Yemeni political process. He called on the international community to put more pressure on Iran and its Houthi allies to implement agreements Peace and the cessation of subversive hostilities reaffirm the legitimate government's move towards achieving a lasting and comprehensive peace that will restore the institutions of the State and end the human suffering of the Yemeni people.

The meeting of the Iryani and Kricheno reviewed the stalled peace process, because of the intransigence of the militias in the implementation of the Stockholm Accords and their continuing to mislead the international community through unilateral steps in violation of the letter and spirit of the agreement. Al-Iryani stressed the humanitarian role of the Saudi-led brotherly support coalition in Saudi Arabia and its impact on alleviating the suffering of the growing Yemeni people as a result of the coup of the Houthi-backed militias supported by Iran.

For his part, Krishno expressed his aspiration to achieve peace, end the coup led by the Huthi-backed militias and the need to put an end to its interference in the region. In the same context, he reviewed during his meeting with Rachida Tlaib, the latest developments in the political situation in Yemen, the path of the stalled peace process as a result of the practices of the Iranian-backed coup militias and its continued refusal to implement the Stockholm Agreement and its repudiation.

Al-Iryani referred to the serious violations carried out by the Houthi militias in their areas of control against the Yemeni people, which amounted to classifying crimes against humanity, and stressed that the world must act to stop these crimes.

The Yemeni Information Minister warned of the danger of the continuation of the militias in the recruitment of children, taking advantage of the difficult economic and humanitarian conditions imposed by the areas of control, stressing that the militias and the recruitment of children and women causes a deep rift in the Yemeni social fabric, and threatens the emergence of a generation does not know Only a culture of murder and revenge.

He reiterated the position of the constitutional legitimacy of Yemen under the leadership of President Hadi and its insistence on achieving a just and comprehensive peace in accordance with the three agreed terms of reference of the Gulf Initiative and its executive mechanism, the outcomes of the comprehensive national dialogue conference and the relevant international resolutions.
