In pain: it was not until the 89th minute of play and a goal against his camp the Namibian Itamunua Keimuine to see Hervé Renard and Moroccans smile finally for their entry into the African Cup of Nations Sunday in Cairo.

The "Atlas Lions", one of the favorites for the final victory, have long stumbled on "Brave Warriors" very consolidated and strong defensively. The offensive attacks of Moroccan star Hakim Ziyech have never pierced the Namibian wall. The Ajax Amsterdam player, however, fired the liberating free kick in the final minutes.

The team coached by Hervé Renard did not use his possession and proved too clumsy against the goal by framing only 6 strikes in 19 attempts.

This victory allows the Moroccans to take the lead of Group D before the duel between Côte d'Ivoire and South Africa on Monday.

With only three shots on the whole game, the "Warriors" have never worried the Moroccan goalkeeper and have long been content with the point of draw in their first African Cup since 2008.

Moroccans will have to regain their offensive efficiency for their second group match against Cote d'Ivoire on Friday and assume their status.
