Ahmed bin Majid Primary School has sent a circular to parents who wish to keep their children in school for the next academic year in the areas of Rumaila, Al-Jir, Wadi Sha`m and Al-Dhahourin, north of Ras Al-Khaimah. The school, starting from this morning until next Thursday, to register students and phone number and sign the pledge.

Parents expressed dissatisfaction with the school's decision because they can not take them to another school or provide private transportation because they work in Ras Al Khaimah and can not afford the time to get their children to school.

«Emirates Today» continued with the director of «School of Ahmed bin Majid», for clarification of the circular issued to parents, but it refused to give any information.

A source at Emirates Transport in Ras Al Khaimah told Emirates Today that the Foundation is committed to the schedule of schools and residential areas for students coming from the Ministry of Education, and that any change in the transport plan is handled according to the data received from the Ministry .

One of the students, who preferred not to be named, said that he lives in Al-Jir district and that the Ahmad Bin Majid School in Sha'am is closer to his children than other public schools and is easier to reach.

He explained that his sons studied in the first episode of the school during the past two years, and that transferring them to another school or obliging them to provide transportation may lead to delay in his work. He works in Ras Al Khaimah and has no driver for the family.

The registration of students in public schools was optional and not compulsory. The school administration should not require parents to enroll their children in other schools or to provide transportation.

In the second grade, the father of the student said that the school administration surprised the parents with the circular sent to them and did not take their opinion regarding the provision of transportation to students in the residential areas mentioned in the circular.

He explained that he lives in Al-Dhahurian area and works in Ras Al-Khaimah. He can not transfer his son to another school. He can not deliver it because there is not enough time to move it during the morning. He can not return home after the end of the work. Transportation is very difficult.
