Investigators organized an inspection after a complaint from residents of the village of Semlevo of the Smolensk region in a direct line with Russian President Vladimir Putin about collecting fees for garbage collection.

“A pre-investigation inspection was initiated on the appeal that the management company unreasonably charged a fee for garbage collection from residents of the village of Semlevo, Vyazemsky district, Smolensk region,” the report said
Earlier, Putin, in the course of the direct line, commented on the situation with the garbage reform in Russia.
The head of state stressed that the issue of the level of tariffs for garbage collection requires additional verification and careful consideration.
