The court was asked to cancel the new rules of Ukrainian spelling

"The plaintiff, who acts in the interests of his daughter - a student of the 7th class, asks the court to declare unlawful and illegal the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine" No. 427 of May 22, 2019 "Questions of Ukrainian spelling," the press service said

At the same time, the plaintiff believes that the Ukrainian government exceeded authority by accepting spelling changes. At the same time, the Cabinet did not take into account the real state of development of the Ukrainian language, the lawsuit says.

According to the applicant, the changed spelling may complicate the study and proper use of the language.

Earlier, the Ukrainian government approved a new version of “Ukrainian spelling”.
